Today I was browsing through some of Kim’s past sessions and I noticed the amazing diversity in both location and staging that she has used. Condemned buildings, fire trucks, and even construction sites were all fair game, and the images produced were spectacularly unique. I love the concept of mixing a well polished couple with a graffiti laden wall or resting a newborn in a tin basin. It’s these unexpected pairings that create fabulous art. These photos were so much more than just prints you would tuck away in an album, they were large on-the-wall worthy custom works of art!

I have only worked with Kim for a few months now, but I can already tell that her creativity and passion for mixing it up is the perfect duo to keep me on my toes and inspired. With summer approaching, who knows what crazy cool places she will find while out and about? All I do know is that I can not wait to see where your next shoot takes us!

Welcome to 2011! We hope this year bring you amazing things– and we’re going to do our part to make that happen!

We’re really excited about a new complementary service we’re offering this year… the at-home ordering & design consultation! We often have clients send us photographs or measurements of a spot in their home they want to create a special photo display on; but too often, they come in, order a photograph in a random size, and then go home and try to find a spot for it. That’s not doing any one any favors!

So now we’re going to do YOU a favor…

Let a member of our team come to your home and work with you to determine not only the best spot in your house for the images; but the size and format that would best suit that spot. You’ll be amazed at how flawlessly your new photos can become a part of your home.

This split-panel canvas gallery wrap was sized perfectly for this home office. Taking into account the width of the desk, the height of the chair, and the depth of the shelves on the adjacent wall, the size was calculated to fit the space perfectly. Now Dad can get some work done while being surrounded by good memories… that’s my kind of art.

Treating Family Photos as Art

So, you’ve scheduled your family photo session, and come in for your viewing session… If I’ve done my job right, you’ll not only LOVE your photos, you won’t know which one(s) to pick! My question for you would be: Pick for what? It’s SO important to me that your appreciation for these images not end when you leave the studio, or when your online gallery expires. A pile of 4×6 prints that sits on your kitchen counter for a year isn’t doing anybody any good!

So… the question then becomes: What should we do with these photos?

One really popular trend is the wall cluster– this allows you to present an assortment of images from your session in a really dynamic way! Have space behind your living room sofa, or behind your dining room table that you’ve been saving for a piece of art? Why not feature the faces and personalities of the people who mean the most to you?? Who says our family can’t be your home’s art? Instead of having one large piece, try an arrangement of many in different shapes and sizes– but make sure not to get too carried away– there’s a fine line between art and chaos– you don’t want your photo presentation a jumbled mess that looks cluttered and sloppy– you want it to be spectacular! Let us help you figure it out.

Get your home looking great for all the holiday festivities– Order a canvas (or mounted) wall cluster of 5 or more images before the end of the year, and receive 10%! You gotta’ mention this special to get the deal though!!

This fun arrangement, made up of individual canvases (Two 10×20, One 8×12, Two 8×10, Two 10×14) takes up a total wall space of just over 3 square feet!
