Occasionally, these blog posts are nothing more than my chance to share some of what goes on behind the doors of Kim Ponsky Photography… This is one of those times.

I love when parents bring their new babies into the studio for their newborns photos. They are so new, so cute, so sleepy and so squishy! Plus, their parents are still starey-eyed… or perhaps it’s just the lack of sleep that makes their eyes all glazed over!

Recently, I got double the fun when 3 month old twins, Baby Boy J and Baby Girl B came in for their first photo session. It was love at first sight (and first squeeze)! The only problem was having to put them down to photograph them! Their parents were so in love with them, it makes me smile just to think about it. Having the opportunity to capture that time for them to remember, and hopefully bring smiles to their faces when they look at the photos now and 20 years from now, is what it’s all about for me. Here is one of my favorite shots from J and B’s newborn photo shoot.

New Hats for New Babies

Every year when I go to Las Vegas for my photography convention, I get to see what new products and trends are arising… This year was no exception. One of my favorite new studio supplies that I got to stock up on were HATS! We got the cutest little knit hats for babies to wear during their photo shoot. Stay tuned to this blog as we feature some of these adorable accessories — Here’s one to start off the fashion show.

Little C, only 15 days old came into the studio this week for his newborn photo shoot. He was cute as could be, curled up on blankets and bean-bags, and sporting one of my favorite little hats!

Twin Newborn Photo Shoot

There was just too much cuteness going on in the studio last week… or, should I say “TWO” much! One month old babies D and C came in for their newborn photo shoot, and they were champs! These boys were amazing– No double the trouble here… We cranked the heat up to 85 degrees, surrounded them with cozy blankets, and made them as comfy as can be. It was amazing to see how the comfort of each other proved to pacify the babies more than anything else… they really are buddies!

Sisterly Love

These 2 little girls were precious…especially together! Older sister B did a great job with her little sister’s newborn shoot. We were even able to get a few great photos of just her as you will see in the video below.

Sleeping Beauty

Ok so I’m a little addicted to this whole blog post thing! (Yeah it’s Michelle again) I never really understood the hype about blogging until recently. In this case, I get to see cute photos all day long while I sit in a relatively quiet studio with no one else around, so how can I not share them with others?! So I FINALLY see the benefit in blogging, I’m not just talking to myself saying “Oh my gosh, that is the custest thing I have ever seen!”. This newborn girl was ridiculously cute in her knitted hat. Don’t you think? She really was a sleeping beauty.
