They did it! This family took our advice, literally! They actually dressed in plum, teal, raspberry and copper from the Crayola bold set of markers :) We usually suggest that families wear colors that don’t necessarily match but are at least in the same box of crayons. Bold colors are perfect for family portraits, especially in the fall. Each family dressed in a single color shirt but when arranged together for the large family photo, they all coordinated. We think that this a perfect example of what to wear when taking a group photo. I hope this helps visualize what we are taking about when we use our box of crayons analogy.
A couple weeks ago, a sweet little girl came into our studio FULL of smiles. She had no fear of being in front of the camera and it was an absolute joy having her here. But the reason we decided to post this blog is to let you see that brides aren’t the only ones that can wear white around here! For many of you who have come in for family portraits, specifically newborn photo sessions, we typically use the black background and recommend that mom and dad wear black. We do this because we want the focus to be on your face and not on the clothes that you are wearing. We’re portrait photographers, not fashion photographers :) We want you to feel your best and we’ll take care of making sure you look your best! So for those of you who sometimes wonder and ask if you can wear white on white, the answer is YES! Even if you use bleach to wash your clothes, I promise that our background will still be whiter and your clothes will show up! But what will show up even more, are the smiles, the laughs, the expressions and beauty of the child or family…our goal is to capture you and only you. White on white is simple but unique and your photos will always be one of a kind.
It’s that time of year again…Playmatters Mini Sessions. For those of you who are familiar with our 10 minute photo shoots at Playmatters Toys, we are now finding that they are actually working out better here in our studio. We are giving mini sessions a “shot” here in our studio this Summer and hope that we can continue to have them here in the Fall and Spring. We have found that there is much more space and less distractions here at our Little Italy location, which makes it much easier for us and less stressful for the parents. We have set-up this special event for several years now and would love to see you guys continue to participate as well as all you newbies out there! For those of you who are unfamiliar with out mini sessions…well they’re pretty much the coolest thing ever :) 1. Call and sign up for a 10 minute slot (1 slot for each child or a group photo) on a day that we hold the event. Each session is $30 and you receive a FREE 5×7 print of Kim’s choice. 2. Come in at the time of your session and 3. Just put that smile on your face…it’s that easy (and if you don’t think its that easy for your child/children like the camera, don’t worry Kim ALWAYS has a way to capture that great shot). What a deal?! Right? And if you want to see or buy additional images don’t worry, we post them all online for you to share with family and friends! With a deal like this you can come in a couple times a year and capture your children as they grow. Call us today and see what days we have available for the Summer of 2010!
We’re pleased to say that Kim Ponsky Photography has just been awarded the 2009 Best of Business for Cleveland Portrait Photography!
Thanks for making us one of the top photo studios in the Cleveland area!
This past Saturday we began this Spring’s installment of mini photo sessions at Playmatters Toystore in Avon. With only a few time slots unfilled, we saw many familiar faces, and got to meet some adorable new ones! As always we want the kids to have fun during their photo session, so this year we came armed with a list of questions… Here is a sneak peek at some of our favorite shots from this weekend’s portraits (along with some of our favorite kid quotes)!
How beautiful are these two?? They make my job too easy :-)
Here are some more of this weekend's adorable kids!
Pickup date for the April 4th photo sessions is April 18th. At that time, you’ll find out how to see the rest of your kids’ pictures online!
There aren’t many spaces left for the other sessions, so don’t wait too long to sign up! Call 216-229-PICS (7427) to reserve your space.
