Family time is precious and portraits are a great way to capture your special time together. Every child and family is unique and that’s why everything we do here at Kim Ponsky Photography is customized for you. We’ll work with you to create images that reflect your unique vision and style. Sessions can be booked at our studio where we have a variety of backdrops to choose from or on-location at your home, park or special location. We specialize in candid, portrait style photography which lends itself to natural interactions and beautiful images.
We’ll spend the first few minutes of our session just hanging out with kids to make sure they feel comfortable with us. Once they’re ready we’ll work to capture their individual personalities and provide you with a variety of images to choose from.
It’s best to have kids wear clothing that is comfortable and reflects their style. It’s always great to choose from the same color palette if we’re photographing multiple people but almost anything goes! Slogans and characters don’t tend to photograph well but solid colors and patterns that aren’t too bold are perfect.
We offer different types of sessions to meet your needs. Sessionettes take place at our studio during the week, include one outfit, up to 3 people, and can be done on a solid backdrop or around our studio (inside or out). This 20-minute session is a great option if you are looking for an easy, quick way to update your photos.
For those looking for a more comprehensive collection of images we offer our Signature Session. It’s an hour-long session for up to 6 people either here at the studio or on-location at your home, a park, or a meaningful location. We can meet during the week or on the weekend and you are welcome to bring a few outfit changes. In an hour we can capture different poses and backgrounds and we have plenty of time for individual and group shots.
