We always try to bring something new and unique to every photo session. Some of the ideas come from the parents– a special gift passed down through generations, or an accessory from the baby’s nursery. But selfishly, I love looking for opportunities to try something I’ve never done before. When this beautiful family came into the studio for their baby’s newborn session, I was immediately struck by the juxtaposition of sizes between the dad and baby, and knew I had to play off of that. This powerful shot was just one of the many great images we got from this studio session, and the parents now have a spectacular album commemorating this special time in their lives.
